I just love illustrated children's books of this era, please buy it before it ends up in my groaning bookcase! This is a 1st Ed 1949 book, sporting a vg dustjacket. It has some usage wear and couple of very small losses, and 3 small tears have been repaired at some time with archival tape. The book also is vg, very square and tight with virtually unfaded light green boards and blue lettering/picture. Endpapers and pages are good with very mild fading. There is a small Christmas label pasted onto flyleaf (Johnny from .? 1949) which confirms this as a first edition. A really smart little book, with a happy ending for the kitten!
