Book condition - Good ; contents clean, no inscriptions, no foxing, paste-downs and flyleaves somewhat dusty with small brown stain at the top edge which continues but diminishes for about the first thirty pages, front inner hinge split but front board very secure, binding firm ; original grey-brown paper covered boards and spine with title on the spine and title and illustration in dark red on the front board ; corners rubbed but not bent, back dusty and with bottom third stained/soiled, spine complete with ends creased and nicked, spine neatly covered with transparent tape (not the cheap, clear stuff), spine quite darkened such that the title is discernible though not readily, front shows general dustiness and marking and with a part ring stain (not too disfiguring) and the title and illustration are complete and clear. No dustjacket (- ever issued ? ). Please see photos for an indication of the contents and condition. A scarce original edition.
