Good-/Poor gilt-stamped brown cloth; loss to corners and spine ends; rubbing to edges; foxing to textblock edges; binding shaken; front flyleaf torn three quarters of the way down; second state map (with date of 1854 not 1853); heavy wear and tear to map with a number of closed tears and some tape repairs on verso; lengthy 19th century inscription on front free endpaper; some soiling to pages from handling.
