The photos show the condition better than I can describe, however overall I am grading as about Fine. The book has a straight spine, with firm corners and spine ends. However you need to be aware the edges all round are scuffed - but this does not really detract from the book's appearance in my opinion. The page edges are toned but aside from light foxing spots, the text block is clean and the binding is tight. The end papers, however, are foxed heavily. The title page states an appendix has been added to this edition for the treatment of diptheria, also directions for the administration of pilules, tinctures and triturations. The title page also states the year of publication as 1868. Seller Inventory # 015677
