Dust jacket well rubbed; shallow chipping, short tears, and some bumping/creasing at edges; spine sunned; front flap retains publisher's printed price at bottom right. Yellowish-brown cloth lightly soiled; boards' top fore-edge corners bumped with leaves affected likewise. Some foxing to text block edges. Light foxing to initial and rear leaves but interior pages are mostly clean. Map-illustrated blue endpapers and b/w plates on unpaged leaves. ISBN 0851310184.
