This is the very first edition of Ruark s Horn of The Hunter. He finished the manuscript on 5 December 1952 at sea en route to Nairobi, Kenya Colony, British East Africa as stated at the end of this book, and published it shortly after in 1953, thus making his name worldwide along with Harry Selby s, Ruark s hunter guide for this and subsequent safaris in Kenya and then Tanganyika. This first edition, first printing of Ruark s most popular volume comes with the original unclipped dustjacket protected in mylar sleeves. This is a crisp, almost unused like condition printed on thick stock. Profusely illustrated with photographs and sketches and drawings by Ruark himself, see images. 315 pages.
