This G book is solid and secure, though not as attractive as it was when new. The front panel has noticeable wear and the spine has some shellac-like coating that completely obscures any artwork and makes the title barely visible. There is wear on the lower corners and the book has a slight lean to it. Except for an inked name on the front paste down, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks or page damage of any sort; there are minor stains on perhaps a dozen pages, all on the margins rather in the text. Hinges are strong and the paper is stiff but not at all brittle; frontis + 5 + 4 diagrams is intact. Both front and rear end pages are taped at the hinge (see photo), adding to their strength but again, diminishing the book's attractiveness. A decent copy, better than a reading copy.
