Williams' last novel. This book has seven lines of literary notes writ in pencil inside the front cover and two lines in pencil on the back of the wrapper. This book was purchased at auction in a lot with 7 other books by Charles Williams. Two of the books had Colin Hardie's name in them as he was the owner. I received an image of a two page letter written by Colin Hardie and compared it to the writing in the book. The word "Dante" was in both places and was written the same way. I am quite sure the handwriting is the same. Thus I am over 90% certain that this book belonged to Colin Hardie but I cannot prove it. Colin Hardie was an Inkling.
