Bottom edges lightly rubbed. Titles slightly rubbed on backstrip. Page edges show minor soiling. Internally clean and tight. The page opposite the title page has a tiny area that was partially adhered to the gutter of the title page and was separated leaving a small scuff in the gutter of the title page. you would need to look for it to see it. This first edition, first printing hit the bookstore bookshelves April 1, 1940. The book itself is a first edition, first printing. The DJ is a second printing as it has a $3.00 price instead of a $2.50 price. In addition, the first printing DJ has 10 titles on the rear and this has only 4 by faulkner.
