Corners and spine ends a little bumped; binding is tight and square and text block clean and unmarked. Large number of black and white illustrations within text by George Cruikshank. Extracts from the novels of 75 well-loved characters with specially commissioned pen-portraits. Unclipped yellow dust wrapper with red titles to the front wrap and spine panel. There is a tear with some rubbing at the spine tail and also a repaired tear at the junction with the upper leading corner. Book is very good. Jacket is very good minus/good plus.
