A Good+ hard cover First US edition. xx, 346pp including adverts at end. Dark green pebbled cloth covers with blind stamp design and gold gilt lettering to spine. Covers and edges worn with 4 very small nicks to the cloth on rear cover / rear hinge. Corners bumped but not worn through. Spine lettering a bit faded, though still quite readable. Binding is nice and strong, hinges tight, Internally, end papers have toning, front paste down has signs of some damage repaired some time ago. 4 small albumen photos tipped in. 3 or 4 pages have a bit of smudging. A good, solid copy of an important treatise on photography art and science. See attached photos. All of our books are individually inspected and described.
