About this Item
40 pages. Undated but appears to be circa 1930s. Presents very practical and now nostalgic wood projects for the homeowner, including detailed drawings. Of these, the most interesting are the poultry house, milk house, ice well, cattle breeding rack, back yard chicken ranch, and hog loading chute. The dimensioned diagram of the ice well is particularly interesting as it shows how winter ice can be preserved for a summer ice supply in rural areas with no other means of refrigeration. Ink stamps of a Manitoba lumber business on front cover. Occasional soiling. Moderate wear. Binding tight. A quality copy which will be of much interest to those desiring to direct their lifestyles back to more simpler times. Seller Inventory # 642c9701
