Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for a library stamp on the front and rear wrap versos. Book Condition: Good +; rubbing to wraps; light edge wear; suntoning to spine. No DJ. Printed card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. Clean internals. 378 pp 8vo. This text of Hard Times is the first to be established by a comparative study of all the surviving versions of Dickens' novel, incorporation evidence from the original manuscript and corrected proof. Study of the genesis of the novel is facilitated by the reproduction of Dickens' working plans and by meticulous textural notes. A clean very presentable copy.
