First edition. 124 pp. Bound in publisher's red cloth with color illustrated label to front board. Text in German. Near Fine, light rubbing and a hint of bowing to boards, former owner's personal ex libris on title page and on bottom margin of p. 31. A superb copy. An illustrated oriental romance of hashish (a cannabis derivative) use, called by reviewer Stephen J. Gertz "a literary cloud of intoxicating smoke, a phantasmagoria in print, once forgotten but now unforgettable." It would be translated into English for the first time in 2014. Scarce, an OCLC search showing only five copies found in libraries worldwide, none in the US.
