Printed wraps. Unopened copy. 'The author's second book. Its title was suggested by James Joyce and it was printed at McAlmon's expence and published about a month before Ulysses. Although bearing no imprint as to publisher, it is in effect the first of the Contact Editions books, the Contact Publishing Company being officially established in 1923'--cf. Bertram Rota, catalogue 287. Author's first collection of prose and the first publication of this press. The scarce printed broadside "From an h'English printer to an English Publisher" is present, as issued. A fine, superb copy. Size: 12mo.
