This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in light green coloured cloth with white title lettering to spine in a Poor Dust-Jacket which has large chip to the front cover,missing the spine of the wrapper although part of the spine is laid in at the front of the book.Chipped also along top edge of the rear cover,spine of the book is faded to the head,Not price clipped with 18s net still present to inner flap.This copy has one erased pencil inscription to the front endpaper.The binding of the book remains firm with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine.Lovely tight square copy.Superbly illustrated with some 47 black and white photographic plates and with folding map at the end of the volume plus a glossary of Mountaineering terms at rear of the book.Largely the book is about the progress of a Mountaineer from roof-climbing in Cambridge to the summit of Chomolhari in 1937.Uncommon title albeit with it's partial original dust-wrapper.8vo 285pp First Edition 1st Impression [1940].
