First edition, second printing as Scribner's seal is present but the letter A has been removed from the copyright page. 1937 date is on both the title page and the copyright page. Black cloth with gold signature to front board. Green blocks with gold titles on backstrip. Binding is strong. Hinges are strong. Book is tight. Age-toning to endpapers. 3 pages towards rear must've gone uncut by manufacturer so when the pages were pulled apart, it was not an even separation. Hardly of note, and hardly unique. Black cloth on front panel shows light soiling that looks as if it can be wiped clean. Seller Inventory # 002357
