Tall 8vo. Pp. 72. Illustrated throughout with black & white photography and illustrations. Bound in stiff printed wraps, saddle-stapled. Slight wear to edges. A well preserved copy. An envelope to a "Heresies" subscriber inserted within contains corrections to a previous issue, as well as "Heresies" brochure. This issue includes a work by Ana Mendieta. "Heresies" was a feminist journal published in 27 issues between 1977-1992 by the Heresies Collective of New York. Compiled and edited by volunteers, each issue centered on a particular theme relevant to feminist theory, lesbian arts and artists, women's arts and crafts, violence against women, etc.Each issue was edited by a different editor; accordingly, each issue was imprinted with respective idiosyncrasies, thus providing variant themes, tones and impulses. Among the founders and editors were Joan Braderman, Lucy Lippard, Harmony Hammond, Miriam Shapiro, Mary Beth Edelson, Elizabeth Hess, Mary Stevens, Arlene Ladden, et al.This issue is now housed in a removable clear archival sleeve with an acid-free backing. Orders from residents of Washington State subject to 10.1% sales tax.
All books are packed and shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Every book is professionally packaged in a heavy cardboard box and shipped via US Postal Service, fully insured. Shipping rates are $3.50 per book; an additional $1 for every book thereafter. Sets and oversized volumes might require additional postage – indication of such will be noted in the book description. Those orders ship at cost, as do international orders, for which shipping will be determined per sale. Other shipping modes are available per arrangement. Institutions will be billed per requirements.

Shipping terms
All books are shipped well-packed in cardboard boxes. Domestic US orders priced at $3.50 per order. Insurance for sales $75 and above included. International shipping expense is at cost, to be offered prior as a condition of sale -- buyer may choose to decline transaction if international shipping is too expensive, once that's determined.
