It does not live up to its promise of helping the reader gain control over her hair, so "you can turn your own natural resources into a look you loveone that makes you feel admired, even envied." Neal, the official hairdresser for the Women's Tennis Association and the Ladies' Professional Golf Association, and freelance writer Byron offer helpful tips, but they're mostly common sense. Eliminating conditioners is "a definite no-no." Can hair be both colored and permed safely? Yes, but wait a few days between processes "and always first perm, then color!"
