Brown cloth boards w/ gilt titling in black title boxes on spine and cover. Bright, mylar protected, price-clipped pictorial DJ w/ light soiling/rubbing, chipping/small tears/creasing along edges and chips missing t&b spine and fr cover. Square, tight binding w/ square corners (btms gently bumped) and light spotting to fr cover w/ a hint of wear to btm edges. Text clean and unmarked throughout on lightly read pages. Presumed 1st ed, Pp 223, frontis, publ date on Title Pg verso, Whistle Code. Beebe, known for his unabashed affection for railroading, was the noted publisher of "Territorial Enterprises" made famous by Mark Twain, and worked as a journalist and columnist. The book is a comprehensive presentation of railroading and rail cars.
