8vo. Pp. 42. Red pebble-grained calf quarter binding over printed decorated boards, spine stamped with gilt title, two raised bands. Speckled endpapers, top edge gilt. Rubricated initial capitals. Edition limited to 750. Printed by D. B. Updike at the Merrymount Press, Boston. Presentation cards laid in. Cracks to spine hinges. Slipcase opening edge 1-inch tear. Baker was a lawyer and financier in Lynn, Massachusetts and, later, Chicago, where he was active in multiple businesses and causes. This selection of two lectures delivered in 1910, on business & conservation and the Commercial Club, was printed a few months after his death. Laid in card "with the compliments and kind wishes of Mrs. Alfred L. Baker.". Seller Inventory # 5000
