First American edition. Illustrated jacket presents well in mylar, but has heavy edgewear with chips and creases, and a vertical crease running lengthwise near front flap fold, the top 3-4" a semi-closed tear. Rubbing, toning, and some soiling to jacket, spine sunned. Light red boards have a few light spots of soiling, with some shelfwear and sunning or light dust soiling to edges, mostly top edge and head and tail of spine. Corners a bit bumped. Foxing to foreedge of text block and foxing and/or dust soiling to top edge. Interior age-toned with foxing and some glue discoloration to endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Binding square and tight.
