Lightly edges wear with slightly age-toned text block, and foxing endpapers and half-title, else, no wear. Clean no markings, binding is tight and strong, pages white. 6.5" x 10". Illustrated green cloth with white lettering to spine, and illustrated endpapers. In Mylar protector. "Steeped in the music and lore of the Himalayas, This volume relates the experiences of the intrepid Robert LeMoyne Barrett (1871-1969) and his wife, the writer Katherine Ruth Barrett (nee Ellis, 1879-1961) in Baltistan and Ladakh during 1923-24 in a series of letters. Includes an appendix on the "Caravan Vocabulary" of Urdu words the couple employed on their journey." Size: Large Octavo.
