Recent (twentieth century) quarter calf, with marbled boards, binding rather attractive, paper a little rubbed to corners, plates foxed. He taught students and published instructional books, but also made extra cash by doing maritime scenes for a London print seller. Later he specialized in architectural paintings, also represented here. Almost all the plates are foxed, but the foxing does not intrude too badly on the sepia tone of the lithographs. First edition. Text clean except for foxing. Bound in original cloth with backstrip quite worn. Folio, 38 cm.
