First edition. Octavo. 309, 110-135pp. ads. Ex-Department of the Interior, Department of Education Library with their bookplate (over another bookplate) and treatment, as well as a small bookseller ticket and one entry amended in blue pencil. Binding worn and soiled, especially so at the spine ends and rear shoulder, endpapers lightly soiled, a just about very good copy with the binding solid and the interior otherwise quite clean. Following the bibliography are 25 pages of ads for the publisher's educational books, with descriptions and positive blurbs. An early American educational bibliography, reprinted in 1973 with a foreword by Francesco Cordasco, author of *A Brief History of Education* and co-editor of *A Bibliography of American Educational History*. The first edition is uncommon.
