12mo. Pp. iv, 412. Illustrated with 64 engravings. Index. Green publishers cloth, titles and decoration stamped in gilt on the spine, and decorative bands stamped in blind on both covers. Covers lightly scuffed, slight edge-wear, corners bumped. A few leaves with old creases where the fore-edge was crimped, now mellowed. Top edge lightly soiled and faintly initialed in ink, owner signature in pencil on front endpaper, leaf edges somewhat age toned otherwise crisp and bright, binding tight. From the publisher's "Bermingham's Medical Library" series. A handsome, presentable copy. The author was for a years resident at New York's Hospital for the Ruptured and Crippled.
