Item description from seller

First American edition. Preface by Charles van den Borren. Translated by Allan Miller. Folio. Measuring 10" x 13½". xi, 175, [1] pp. Heavily illustrated in black and white, and with full-page map plates in color. Page edges a trifle foxed else fine in a moderately worn, about very good dust jacket with a bit of soil, a 2" creased tear on the cover panel (with interior tape repairs to it and two other tiny tears), and the upper flap creased. An interesting musical history.
