Boards and DJ show light edge wear.; Dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector. A bright, solid book, text unmarked; Boston Studies in the Philosophy and History of Science Vol 209; 9.21 X 6.14 X 0.94 inches; 420 pages; "Although produced in controversy, this book is not a controversial work. The calming effects of the years that have passed since the tumultuous days in Lubeck are enough to guarantee that these pages will accurately trace the coming and going of opinions, the battle for the truth and the recognition of error. In only a few passages, especially in Part Six, will one be able to tell from the tone of the book that it comes out of this struggle. For these I ask the indulgence of my reader, since they contain explanations the extent of which probably does not correspond either to the difficulty of the questions treated or to their influence. But in such passages the extent of treatment could not - as was otherwise the case - be made to depend solely on a judgment as to the value and significance of the investigations presented. There considerations of defense, more than concern for symmetry, had to determine the structure.".…

Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. International shipments that qualify for Global Priority shipping will be sent that way so long as the book fits (well packaged) in the flat rate envelope. Please note that USPS no longer offers international Surface Mail but because we are located in Canada we can offer this option.
Please note that the International shipping rate is for books 2 lbs or more fully packaged. If your book weighs less I will mail 1st Class (air mail) and reduce the S&H to the current 1st Class rate.
To our US customers, Please note shipments to the US usually arrive in 7-10 days, not a guarantee but an observation. Please note that due to Canadian travel restrictions, we are no longer able to cross the border to drop our parcels off at the US Post Office. We are temporarily raising our shipping rates to the US. When the travel restrictions are lifted, the cost will return to normal.
