The book covers the period between 1688 to 1815 during which time three revolutions took place and all led to war between the British and the French. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is a small mark to the rear of the front board. The top edge retains its original red tint. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in very good condition with a tear to the top corner of the front cover, a tear and crease marks to the top edge of the front cover, slight loss to the top edge of the darkened spine and a small mark to the back cover.
