First printing. Octavo (20cm). Stab-sewn pamphlet with title cover; 16pp. Minor dirt to edges, else Very Good. Letters documenting struggles with epidemics in the Wallingford Community, a branch of the Oneida Community with a printing press. The community debated removing from Wallingford, but remained to maintain their printing operation, and fought the disease by acquiring a Turkish bath. The letters claim that the community's spiritual struggle "substantially expelled the spiritual virus (ignorantly called malaria)" (p.16). NOT IN WELLS; NOT IN DARE.
