Two volumes. Pp. Vol I, xiv, 339; Vol II, x, 426. Duel text printed simultaneously in Chinese and English. Introduction by Waldo G. Leland. Foreword by the translator, Homer H. Dubs. Appendixes. Fold-out map at rear of Vol I. Bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering printed on spine. Slight wear to covers, tight and clean overall. Magazine article titled "Economics of Han" laid in Vol I; one page of corrections laid into Vol II. Previous owner's signature on front pastedown. The first volume was published 1938; the second, 1944. Ban Gu's famous Book of Han, documenting the second of China's 24 dynasties, written sometime in the first century AD. A handsome set, well preserved.

Our store is located in downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood and is open seven days a week.
