848 pages (complete). A benign copy. Green boards with stamped gilt titling (bold). The boards have wear about all edges, corners and seams. The spine has wear to head and foot. The body of the spine is scuffed. The boards have wear, scuffing, marks from age, handling, shelving and storage. They are steady and sure. The frontispage has previous owner signatures (AH Longhurst; HA Beadle). The early and later pages have some handling marks, user marks and wear. Overwhelmingly, the pages are tidy and assured. They are diligent, healthy, clean and clear, tirelessly generous, sound, amenable, only occasionally bearing the traces of use, companionable. fk.
