Rather rare original 1900 first edition. The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear with some wear to the extremities of the spine. There is a small section of light cracking to the front interior hinge, but the binding is good and sound. The backside of the frontispiece portrait has a period name inscription belonging to Thomas Peabody which is dated August 2, 1900. The original book price is written in fountain pen to the top margin of the title page. The rest of the interior is lightly toned from age but mostly nice and clean, though there may be the very occasional page with a light bit of foxing, grubbiness, or some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, creased page corner, small chip or tear, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 9 1/2 inches by 6 1/8 inches and is 754 pages long and with a black and white frontispiece portrait. ************This book will require additional shipping charges if being sent outside of the United States************.
