207pp. The second of three volumes of Lowell's poetry published by Faber and Faber in 1973. A series of sonnets, some new and some rewritten. This is an Uncorrected Proof Copy. Light grey paper covers with black lettering on face. Name written in pencil on front cover - Miss Goad. Rosemary Goad was the first female Director of Faber (from 1970 to 1988). No other inscriptions. Sun lightened cover edges and spine. Shelf wear to cover corners. Creased lower page corners for final twenty pages. Otherwise in very good condition.
