505 pp. This book is, as stated, in 'As new' condition. No shading, No foxing, No sun fading, No handling damage, a clean tightly bound copy. Contents bright & well preserved. Almost unbelievable for a book over 100 years old. It was founded in 1915 as a single-battalion regiment, during the First World War, by Royal Warrant of George V. Shortly after the regiment's formation, it was deployed to France to join the Guards Division, where its first battle was some months after its initial arrival, at Loos on 27 September 1915. It then took part in the fighting on the Western Front until the end of the war in November 1918. Its first Victoria Cross came in July 1917 and was awarded to Sergeant Robert Bye. The book has a number of fold out maps and photo plates all in excellent condition. All my books are scanned so you can see what you are buying.
