Item description from seller

The V2 rocket was very much feared by the war weary Londoners. Norman Long mate describes the powerplay amongst the Nazis about this weapon and how British intelligence identified the true threat of this powerful ballistic missile. Hitler wanted to have 900 of these produced monthly. The mistakes made by those in power were to the benefit of the Allies. This engrossing history is a good, clean copy, without marks, with photographs, an index, list of contributors and sources as well as maps. Every armchair reader will be grateful that they didn't live in London at that time.

Store description

I am Ann Howard, an ex-London published writer living in Australia. I love books and I've collected books and talked with authors all my life so I have many rare books, signed copies and unusual books. I am still writing and publishing, but it is time for me to part for some of my beloved books, which is not easy. I have 22 of my own books in print, non-fiction, mostly featuring unwritten stories especially of women, children and migrants, using original photos and interviews. As I won quite a few competitions for short stories and poems, and have heard them broadcast and published in three countries, I now have the luxury of the time for writing fiction.…
