Second British edition, thirteenth impression. Bound in publisher's green cloth affect boards stamped in dark blue with map endpapers. Near Fine with light sunning to spine, light stain to top edge of textblock with stray pen mark at bottom edge; contents bright. In a Very Good price-clipped dust jacket with "thirteenth impression" printed on front flap of jacket. Light toning, light edge wear with closed tears, remnant of old price sticker at center of front panel, tape reinforcements to all four corners at blindside. A pleasant copy of Tolkien's fantasy masterpiece with maps and illustrations by the author.
