Allen and Unwin 1937 1st printing of the 1st Edition. We are thrilled to offer the now super rare Hobbit 1st/1st with original unrestored dust jacket. This is a separate copy from my set of the first four Hobbit printings. (We are not splitting up that set). Jacket has some darkening to spine, covers bright. The book has very slight lean, a little grubbiness to clothe edges, but clean overall with no foxing. This book is needs no introduction or description to Tolkien or first edition collectors. The Tolkien market continues to dominate modern editions in demand and price thanks to another round of films and other projects in the works.
