A near fine book with a tiny bit of wear at the spine tips and the corners gently tapped. There is a small, charming bookseller's label at the lower corner of the front pastedown, but this is (arguably) a plus. The price-clipped dustjacket is near fine: a bit of rubbing to the extremities, only a minute amount of missing paper, a slightly sunned spine (the orange is a tad muted) and some darkening to the rear fold . A contemporary Harper "Find": "a book by a newcomer outstanding for its qualities of freshness and popular appeal".
