The story of a boy's life in the Azores from his early childhood to his departure from his island home to make his fortune in America. The book is in good condition. It is an ex-library copy with the usual library markings. The library pocket has been removed from the last page. There are stamps from two different libraries, one set on the top and bottom of the pages and one st on the inside o f the covers. There are tape marks on both sides of the the covers where the dust jacket had been taped to the book. The dust jacket is in good condition with light wear and tear along the edges. There is a library spine label on the spine. The jacket is not price clipped and is in new clear protective covering. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
