About this Item
The first edition of this scarce and charming guide to lace-making from the early 20th century, with diagrams. The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Illustrated with 3 plates and 9 diagrams. Collated complete. A lovely guide to lace-making, with a preface, advice for teachers and six patterns with helpful diagrams. M. E. W. Milroy also published two other guides to lace-making, one of which focused on ecclesiastical patterns. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, with only very light shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine. Colour is good and gilt is bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, except for the odd spot to the front free end paper. Fine. Seller Inventory # 844M28
