True first British printing. No jacket. Index. Illustrated. With a slip stating 'With the author's compliments' (not signed). Brown boards with black binding to spine and gold lettering to spine are near fine with the odd small mark, odd light scratch, minor pushing/bumping to corners and very minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are clean and the binding is tight. Top of pages dyed brown. Pages slightly tanned. Odd spot of foxing to page edges and bottoms. No other faults. A nice copy.
