Many additional photographs, portraits, illustrations. Printed in anticipation of the 1953 Canadian general election, and outlining a ten-point election platform detailing the CCFs' commitments towards a distinctly Canadian socialist mandate including enactment of a robust national health and employment insurance program, and outlining a reform of national taxation, immigration, and education policies, et al. The election would see the CCF field 170 candidates across the nation, ultimately securing twenty-three seats, an increase of their previously-held ten seats (garnering 11.28% of the popular vote). Its principles were hammered out in conventions by farmers, trade unionists, housewives, office workers, business and professional men and women - Canadians in every walk of life - Canadian who are determined to put an end to the exploitation of the poor by the rich, of the weak by the strong - Canadians who believe in working co-operatively for the good of all instead of the dog-eat-dog method of every man for himself.
