58pp. Limited edition of 1000 copies. This is copy numbered 906. This book is the first in the "Golden Cockerel" type and was printed on 10.12.30 by Robert & Moira Gibbings. Green paper covered boards designed by Tirzah Garwood. Green leather spine with gilt lettering on spine. Touch of shelf wear to tip of tail of spine. Top edge gilt. Light spotting to uncut fore edge. No inscriptions. Clean and tightly bound. Notice to Subscribers laid into front end papers dated January 1931 to explain the new font style and the increase in number of printed copies from 750 to 1,000 to meet the "enormous demand" for this volume. Toned glassine covers are also present though with some slight loss to tail of spine and a few creases to inside flaps. A very nice edition. Seller Inventory # 006766
