Maroon cloth with cover title & decoration in gilt; 12mo; 183pp; illustrated with b/w photo frontispiece plus 39 other full-page titled b/w photo plates. The story of 7 annual hunts and "chock full of deer hunting in the North Country of Michigan in the vicinity of Tah-qua-me-non River. This is the river on which Hiawatha, the legendary hero immortalized by Longfellow, built and floated his canoe. " (Heller #355) Book is in good condition with light wear to spine ends, mild cover rubbing, small nick at tail of spine; former owner's bookplate to front pastedown; internally quite clean.
