1902 First Edition hardcover in soiled illustrated paper covered boards with red cloth over spine shows bumped and rubbed tips, one neat split in the spine cloth. Sewn in 86pp text missed the very center pages in one of the four signatures present, spine split but rest of page block wobbly but holding. Includes recipes for cleaning tinctures, methods of cleaning gear as well as a chapter by Fothergill to young grooms on how to pack for your 'master' for a road trip with or without horses and suggestions on decorating a gent's library, smoking den or billiard room with old tack, spurs, etc. Book now in heavy gauge removable clear acetate 'jacket'.
