This VG+ quality first edition book was published in 1941 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 216 numbered pages of text; it was the fourth title in this series to be bound in brown cloth with decorated end pages. This book is square, very clean, free of edge dings with the lower front corner lightly bumped; head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with no fabric damage; the bottom edges have a slight amount of wear. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The frontis is present and not damaged. The paper is heavily toned and a bit stiff but still flexible and not brittle--all pages are intact. There is no series lists at the rear of the book. The G+ quality jacket is reasonably clean. It has tiny chips at both front corners and at the head and heel of the spine; there is a 1-1/2" x 1/2" chip at the bottom of the front panel at the spine; and the rear panel has a substantial red water stain--but there is no damage to the binding or to the text, so I presume that this is not the original jacket with this book.
