The book consists of photographs, drawings, floor plans, and written descriptions of a variety of types of buildings in rural Ireland. These types include; country estates, farm buildings, houses, and commercial and military buildings. Transportation is also included with descriptions (and the previously mentioned illustrations) of bridges, canals, railway lines, and harbours. The appendices contain sections on various building materials, a select bibliography, and index. Northern Ireland is included. This is a very good copy in dust jacket with light edge wear. There is the name of a previous owner on the title page. The jacket is now protected with a Brodart cover.
