The book is in Very Good condition for its age. It has a straight spine, sharp corners and lightly softened spine ends, with engraved faded boards (originally purple). The binding is tight with the seam that joins the front board to the end paper frayed along the vertical edge, but still firmly affixed. The page edges are toned and the opening and closing pages are foxed, but the main text block is clean. The book is illustrated throughout in black and white, with 312 pages.
