ITALIAN RECENT ADVANCES IN APPLIED ELECTROMAGNETICS

This volume contains a selection of 33 scientific papers presented at the Eighth International Meeting of the Italian Electromagnetics Group, held on the island of Capri from October 9 to 12, 1990. The biennial conference brought together universities, research institutions, and high-technology companies, with more than 120 papers presented overall, offering a broad overview of the state of applied electromagnetics research in Italy. The selected contributions are organized into four main thematic areas: Diffraction, Propagation and Inverse Problems; Antennas and Microwave Components; Photonics; and Measurements, Electromagnetic Compatibility and Bioelectromagnetics. The volume reflects both theoretical and experimental research, with the majority of contributions originating from universities, often in collaboration with research institutes, and a smaller number from industry. These proceedings provide a comprehensive snapshot of the breadth, quality, and nationwide distribution of Italian research in applied electromagnetics at the beginning of the 1990s. The book stands as a valuable reference for researchers, engineers, and specialists in the field, as well as a historical document of the scientific activity promoted by the Italian Electromagnetics Group.
